Acne
You may experience some of the symptoms below:
- Blackheads: Open pores clogged with oil and dead skin, appearing as small dark spots.
- Whiteheads: Closed clogged pores, forming small, flesh-colored bumps.
- Papules: Small, tender red or pink bumps.
- Pustules: Papules with pus at the top, often red at the base.
Canker Sores
You may experience some of the symptoms below:
- Small Ulcer: A round or oval lesion with a white or yellow centre and red border.
- Pain: Noticeable discomfort, especially when eating or speaking.
- Burning Sensation: A tingling or burning feeling before the sore appears.
- Swollen Lymph Nodes: Possible swelling in the neck or jaw area.
Diaper Rash
You may experience some of the symptoms below:
- Skin Redness: Bright red, irritated skin in the diaper area.
- Swelling: Mild swelling or puffiness of the skin.
- Warmth: The affected area may feel warm to the touch.
- Tenderness: The baby may show discomfort or cry when the diaper area is touched or cleaned.
COVID-19 (PAXLOVID)
To obtain a Paxlovid prescription, please review the steps below:
- You must have tested positive for COVID-19.
- Determine your eligibility to receive a Paxlovid prescription. Please visit the government of Ontario website HERE for eligibility details.
- Book a virtual appointment or a phone consultation to get assessed by a Pharmacist and receive a prescription for Paxlovid.
- Your Pharmacy team will coordinate with you how to receive the prescription.
Nausea & Vomiting During Pregnancy
You may experience some of the symptoms below:
- Nausea: A feeling of unease and discomfort in the stomach with an urge to vomit.
- Vomiting: The act of expelling stomach contents through the mouth.
- Increased Salivation: Excessive production of saliva, sometimes triggered by nausea.
- Gastrointestinal Discomfort: General discomfort in the stomach area.
Pinworms and Threadworms
You may experience some of the symptoms below:
- Itching: Intense itching around the anus or vagina, usually worse at night.
- Restless Sleep: Discomfort from itching can lead to difficulty sleeping or restlessness.
- Visible Worms: Small, white, thread-like worms in stools or on the skin around the anus.
- Abdominal Pain: Mild pain or discomfort in the stomach area.
UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)
NOTE: Pharmacists can only assess and prescribe for Females.
You may experience some of the symptoms below:
- Frequent urination, pain while urinating and difficulty holding in urine
- Pain in lower abdomen and a small amount of blood in the urine
- Absence of vaginal discharge
- Cloudy or foul-smelling urine
Yeast Infections
You may experience some of the symptoms below:
- Itching and Irritation: Intense itching and irritation in the vaginal area.
- Redness and Swelling: Noticeable redness and swelling of the vulva.
- Vaginal Discharge: A white, clumpy discharge that resembles cottage cheese.
- Burning Sensation: A burning feeling, particularly during urination.
- Soreness: General soreness or pain in the vaginal area.
